Double showing in Milan during Design Week for the Molteni Group companies: Salone del Mobile.Milano for Molteni&C and Eurocucina for Dada. Two huge exhibition spaces. Art director of both the displays is Vincent Van Duysen, Belgian architect, Creative Director and curator of the image of both brands.
Articulated stands that summarize Vincent Van Duysen’s design approach, focusing on high-impact settings, infused with a sense of well-being, thanks to the careful use of materials combined to create a harmonious whole. Most of the decorative elements have been created ad hoc, using innovative materials to distinguish the designer’s wish to set a new showcase standard in order to enhance the furnishings and the kitchens.
Two types of flooring – one made of dark wood, the other light, more technical – alternate to define the individual settings. Walls clad in marble, silk georgette and lava stone next to two large fireplaces. Wood panelling alternates with walls, in three shades of grey, treated with an innovative technique, to achieve a “travertino romano” effect.
Slatted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling stained glass windows, designed to let daylight in from outside. Lastly, large arboreal compositions and ponds, where aquatic plants find their natural habitat.
