DDAYS 2013 – Pause Onirique

“Pause Onirique”, the title of the project, translates the “tomorrow” theme in an imaginary scenario, in a chance to mold the future any way a fertile imagination may choose. Visitors are invited to stop a while, to sit and think, ‘perchance to dream’ of a new tomorrow. Large mirrors offer them the chance to see what lies behind, what tomorrow could be like in a world of dreams. “Give yourselves time to sit on a bench and explore the images, allow yourselves to be stunned, seduced, surprised”, says Charlotte Juillard, by Gio Ponti’s chair, the Fortepiano system, Ron Gilad’s 45° tables, the Wish table and numerous other items in the Molteni&C collection. The Designer’s Days are also an opportunity for a preview in France of some new products presented at the 2013 Salone del Mobile. Among others, Holiday, Ferruccio Laviani’s lightweight, narrative, evocative and decorative sofa. Elegant seating, great character and comfort, sartorial techniques for the details, rich textiles and leather. Ron Gilad’s Panna Cotta table, at once delicate and heavy, a paradox of fragile stability, in the new oval version, plus Nicola Gallizia’s tiny little Fantasia armchair, with curved lines, designed for any room in the house, a modern classic thanks to its wooden feet.
