Meet Design – Around the World Triennale di Milano
The exhibition “Meet Design – Around the World” is a “virtual” journey across the world of design. From its point of departure in Milan, the route continues to take in seven further settings, in other places and at different times of the day. Molteni&C takes pride of place in Vienna, the city of Adolf Loos, one of the fathers of modern architecture. In a beautifully reconstructed early 1900s environment, Molteni&C furnishings catch the eye, for instance Pass ed. 2012 modular system, designed by Nicola Gallizia. Its subtle interplay of materials and thicknesses creates a modern, functional composition for the living area. Close by are 60°/consolle and 35°/tavolino, by Ron Gilad, “open box” objects of which we see only the edges, like elements of pure light. Lastly Nicola Gallizia’s Domino pouf, in fabric and leather, to sit on and chat about art and architecture. MEET DESIGN Around the World, an RCS project, curated by Francesca Taroni, editor of Case da Abitare, with Ico Migliore. Design and installation by Migliore+Servetto Architects.
