The Molteni Group is opening its first Molteni&C|Dada Flagship Store in Switzerland, testifying to the brand’s continuous expansion in the global contemporary design scenario.
The Flagship Store marks Molteni’s cooperation with Interieurs by Sylvain, for over 40 years an important focal point for interior design and planning in Geneva.
The over 500 sq. metre Flagship Store with its 12 large window displays is all on one level so as to create a large, but at the same time a welcoming and harmonious space.
Situated on the Eaux-Vives station forecourt, the Store hosts the complete Molteni&C|Dada collection, symbolizing the spirit of a unique, evolving, contemporary project, in line with the stylistic principles of the Molteni Group.
The entrance welcomes visitors into a daytime area that is perfectly aligned with the first kitchen on display, where Vincent Van Duysen’s Intersection and Francesco nMeda’s Woody chairs are in perfect harmony with the Sistema 7 wardrobe.
Nicola Gallizia’s 505Up Sideboard captures the guests’ attention and introduces them to what is a material pathway. The Foster+ Partners’ Arc table and Rodolfo Dordoni’s Barbican chairs create a cosy atmosphere in harmony with the other elements.
The Hector bookcase, designed by Creative Director Vincent Van Duysen, leaves room for Michael Anastassiades’ Half a Square table which, accompanied by Jasper Morrison’s Tea chairs, represents the recreational element in contrast with the Touch Down Unit home office solution designed by Studio Klass.
Moving on through the small patio, which gives the environment a naturistic feel, visitors enter the second kitchen display featuring VVD, the 2.0 operating columns and Rodolfo Dordoni’s Devon chairs. Hannes Wettstein’s Turner sofa and the Piccadilly armchair designed by Dordoni plus Nicola Gallizia’s Attico coffee tables and Vincent Van Duysen’s Hubert give way to the elegant Armani|Dada Midnight bar.
The Gliss Master wardrobe system, with its Hector Mirror, welcomes guests to the nighttime area where the Ribbon bed and Hector Night contribute to furnishing the space, enriched with iconic Gio Ponti designs such as the D.552.2 table, the D.847.1 desk and the D.151.4 armchairs along with items of the Molteni&C collections such as the Tea chair and the Vicino coffee table designed by Foster + Partners.
The result is a highly impactful setting that exhibits and enhances the Molteni&C|Dada collections, creating a warm, welcoming and experiential space.
