Molteni&C and Unifor take part in the aircraft carrier Cavour’s Tour of Africa and the Middle East
On 13 November next the Italian Navy aircraft carrier Cavour will leave Civitavecchia on a tour designed to promote the very best products Made in Italy, acting as a “floating exhibition” venue. The flagship vessel will be away from Italy for six months, stopping off in the most commercially strategic locations around the Persian Gulf and the coast of Africa, returning to base on 7 April 2014. The plan is to provide a showcase for Italian excellence in the world and FederlegnoArredo will be taking part with an unconventional installation covering no fewer than 150 sq m and involving twenty-five associated companies, including Molteni&C and Unifor. The installation, entitled “Il cuore dell’abitare italiano. La nostra passione è la tua casa” [“The heart of Italian-style living. Our passion is your home”] will display prestigious Italian furniture and finishes. These will form an ideal pathway illustrating Italy as a genuine cradle of workmanship, research and innovation, whose entrepreneurs are committed to helping improve people’s lives by producing beautifully crafted and functional furniture, finishes, lighting, decorative objects and floors. Molteni&C and Unifor will take part with furnishings for both home and business environments, created by their top designers, such as Jean Nouvel, Foster+Partners, Ron Gilad, Ferruccio Laviani and Hannes Wettstein.
